It is interesting to find out the different areas where they are from. One was collecting money for his pastor to get to Peru. Most of them are wanting to get to Peru which is $16 trip to the border on bus. One said he had arrived two weeks ago and lived in the same town we had lived and had $7. He was a very outgoing and aggressive vender!
The interesting part is they are always happy, which is normal for Venezuelans. They have so much hope in life and for the future of the country. That is one thing we were taught during the time we lived in this beautiful country, was to have hope.
At the last Nazarene camp that was just held in Aug, our church united in prayer for their country with specific request. One of the request by one of the campers was this: " Let us pray for our future Venezuela, after this is all over." That is HOPE! May we all learn to believe and have hope in God!
